How we actually approach this.

PRP for hair is a blood draw, a spin, and placement into the scalp where thinning is still biologically worth treating. Full-scalp and targeted PRP are different visits in time and discomfort. Neither is Alma TED, and neither is a transplant.

PRP for hair is a blood draw, not a graft count

Platelet-rich plasma for hair uses a sample of your blood, spun so the platelet portion can be placed where hair is still miniaturizing. It is not Alma TED, and it is not a transplant. Full-scalp PRP and targeted PRP — hairline, temples, part line, crown — are the two ways we scope it. The choice follows the pattern, not a menu that tries to sound surgical.

People searching hair restoration in Jacksonville often land on graft pricing. We do not quote grafts because we do not perform them. A PRP series is judged in photographs over months. Results vary. We will not promise a hairline from a decade ago, and we will not describe your plasma as a substitute for surgery if the scalp is past the point where follicles are participating.

Session pricing is discussed in the consult, not published here, because the area and the series length change the visit. The consultation fee credits toward treatment if you go forward at this clinic. If shedding is sudden or patchy, the first step may be a medical workup rather than a draw.

What the appointment feels like

You should expect a blood draw and scalp injections. Numbing is part of making that tolerable. It is still a needle visit. If you wanted a needle-free option, that is Alma TED, and we would rather send you to that page than surprise you in the chair. Combining them, when it is appropriate, is a sequence of separate visits so each one can be judged.

The day of treatment is not a workout day and not a day for tight headwear if we have just treated the scalp. We will give you wash timing and what to skip. Heat styling and traction are the habits that fight a density plan. They are also the habits people under-report until the photos do not match the story.

Photographs use the same part and the same light. ‘My stylist noticed’ is a pleasant comment. It is not the endpoint. If the series is not earning the next visit, we stop or we change the plan. Continuing because a package was prepaid is not how this clinic is willing to practice.

PRP on the scalp versus PRP everywhere else

This practice also uses platelet-rich plasma for facial rejuvenation, selected under-eyes, and with microneedling. Those are different tissues and different pages. A facial PRP visit does not treat your part line, and a scalp series does not tighten skin. If you are booking more than one, they are scheduled as the procedures they are.

Candidacy overlaps with general health. We ask about blood disorders, medications, and whether you have had PRP before and what it did. A prior series that produced no photographic change is useful information. It may mean we should not repeat it, or it may mean the diagnosis was never thinning of the kind PRP can influence.

Woman-owned, physician-led, and on Cypress Green Drive is the setting. It is not a reason to expect a transplant outcome from a blood draw. If you need grafts, we will tell you this is the wrong building. If you need a needle-free series, we will tell you this is the wrong page.

Cost, grafts, and the questions search sends us

Average cost of hair restoration, the price of 3,000 grafts, and what a transplant looks like twenty years later are real questions. They are surgical questions. We answer them by drawing the line: this clinic does not harvest or implant follicles, so we do not publish graft fees or pretend a PRP series is a discount version of surgery. Longevity of transplanted hair is a counseling topic for the surgeon who moved it. Native hair around those grafts can keep thinning for decades. That fact is why some people later look for nonsurgical support, and it is not a result we can promise from plasma.

What we can price in the room is a PRP series for a pattern we have photographed. Full scalp versus hairline, temples, part, or crown changes the visit. So does whether you are also a candidate for Alma TED as a separate appointment. We will not bundle them under a trademarked protocol name that hides the needle. Session fees stay off this page because a published number would describe an average patient we have not met.

Celebrity treatments are not a plan. We do not know what someone famous used, what their labs showed, or how the photos were lit. If your question is really ‘what works for a widening part,’ bring the part. If your question is ‘can I get a surgical hairline without surgery,’ the answer is no, and it is the same answer on both hair pages.

Who should not start PRP for hair

A bare scalp with no miniaturized hair to support is a poor PRP candidate. So is untreated scalp disease, a bleeding disorder we have not discussed, or a request to do this the week of an event where pinpoint marks on the hairline would bother you. Sudden shedding after illness, childbirth, a crash diet, or a new medication may need time and a medical look before anyone draws blood for cosmetic placement.

Expectations have to survive a mirror check at three months, not three days. Some patients see photographic change. Some do not, and the honest practice is to stop. We would rather end a series than describe a unchanged part line as ‘progress you have to feel.’ If Alma TED is the better fit because you will not tolerate needles, we will move you there instead of talking you into a draw.

The address is 9050 Cypress Green Drive, Suite 104, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Hours are Monday through Wednesday, nine to five, with Thursday and Friday by appointment. Call (904) 453-8737 or book a consultation. The fee credits toward the first treatment if PRP is actually the plan.

From Dr. Donzo

“If shedding is sudden, patchy, or accompanied by other symptoms, PRP is not the first sentence. I would rather order the right workup than inject hope into an undiagnosed problem.”

FAQ

Questions worth answering.

Does PRP hair restoration hurt?

The scalp is sensitive. We plan comfort, but it is still a series of injections, not a massage.

How many sessions?

Usually several, then maintenance if you are responding. We stop if photographs do not move.

Can I wash my hair after?

We give a specific window. Same-night hot showers and tight styles are usually the wrong idea.

Is this better than TED?

Different tools. Needle-averse patients often start with TED. PRP is a biologic injection plan. Candidacy and preference both matter.
