Filler questions in this market usually arrive as a request for lips, cheeks, or a jawline, plus a quiet worry about looking ‘done’ in office lighting and in a car selfie on the Buckman. Hyaluronic acid filler does not create a new face. It replaces or supports volume that time, weight change, dental work, and bone remodeling have changed. At Vivid Bliss that support stays inside the JUVÉDERM® family: Voluma® XC, Ultra XC, Ultra Plus XC, Vollure® XC, Volbella® XC, and Volux® XC. Each gel has a different job. A product that can hold a jawline is the wrong texture for a fine line around the mouth.

The consult is where we decide whether filler is even the tool. A fold that appears when you smile is often a muscle story and belongs with a wrinkle relaxer. A fold that is there when your face is at rest may be volume. Dark circles are frequently pigment, allergy, or thin skin pretending to be a hollow. Treating the wrong problem with a syringe is how people end up looking puffy and still tired.

We do not publish syringe prices online. The number of syringes is a consequence of the map, not a package. Your consultation fee credits toward the first treatment if you proceed here. If the honest plan is one conservative syringe and a review in two weeks, that is the plan we will say out loud.

Lips move constantly, swell more than people expect, and show every millimeter. A first lip treatment at this clinic is usually smaller than the photo that brought you in. Volbella® and the Ultra gels are the usual conversation for lip and perioral work; the choice depends on whether we are shaping a border, adding body, or softening vertical lines. You will look more swollen the evening of treatment than you will at two weeks. We schedule around events for that reason, especially if you have a weekend on the water.

Cheeks and midface are structure. Voluma® is often the gel we discuss when the midface has flattened and the fold underneath is a shadow, not a wrinkle that needs chasing. Overfilling a cheek to erase a fold usually makes the fold look worse in profile. Chin and jawline — often Volux® when we want definition — have to agree with the lips. A lip that is fuller than the chin can support reads as added, even when each area was ‘well done’ in isolation.

Temples, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines are included when they are part of balance. They are not loyalty rewards. Dr. Donzo will tell you which third of the face is actually out of proportion. If you only want the lip and the rest of the face can carry it, we do the lip. If it cannot, we say that before we open a box.

Hyaluronic acid filler is not casual because the face has vessels that do not forgive a wrong plane. Physician placement, slow injection, and a willingness to stop are the safety plan. Bruising, tenderness, and asymmetry from swelling are common in the first few days. A pale, painful, or blotchy patch that shows up and does not behave like a normal bruise is a reason to call the clinic the same day, not a reason to wait for a review post.

Swelling is not the result. Salt, alcohol, heat, and a hard workout the same day advertise it. Plan to go home. Two weeks is when we look at shape. Lumps that are still there after swelling should be seen, not massaged because a video said so.

If you were filled elsewhere and something feels heavy, migrated, or simply unlike you, bring that history. Hyaluronic acid can often be dissolved with hyaluronidase when dissolving is the right medical step. Not every lump is filler. Not every filler should be erased the afternoon you walk in. Sometimes the next step is patience, sometimes it is dissolving, and sometimes it is skin quality rather than another syringe. We would rather map that than stack product on a face that is already full.

Duration depends on the gel, the area, and your metabolism. Lips are usually the first to soften. Cheeks and chin often hold longer because they move less and the product is firmer. Anyone quoting a single ‘lasts two years’ line for every JUVÉDERM syringe is selling a brochure. We will give you a range for the area we actually treated, and we will not stretch that range to keep you out of the office until the result has fully disappeared.

Filler does not replace a wrinkle relaxer, a peel, or a device that changes texture. A line etched by the frown muscle will still be there after a syringe in the fold. Skin that is crepey from sun on the Southside will not become thick because a cheek was lifted. The sequence — relaxer, filler, then skin, or the reverse — is the injectables consultation, not a same-day menu.

We do not treat elective filler during pregnancy. We ask about autoimmune history, recent dental work, and active skin infection, because timing matters more than a hole in the calendar. The result we stand behind is a face that still matches your features, photographed in our lighting, not a trend that will look dated in a year.

Come with a bare face if you can, a list of previous syringes and where they were placed, and any photos of your face from before the change that bothers you. Dental work in the last couple of weeks matters. So does a flight the next day.

We photograph in our light, then talk while you animate. The recommendation might be filler, a wrinkle relaxer first, dissolving, or nothing. You should leave knowing which gel we would use and why, what the first two weeks of swelling usually look like, and what would make us want to see you sooner. If that conversation does not earn the treatment, we do not open the product to justify the drive.
